Niko Hydro Key Switch

This splashproof key switch allows you to safely and securely open and close electrical installations such as sliding doors, gates, fences, pool enclosures, and other motorized applications. Thanks to its key operation, this switch is particularly suitable for situations where access must be restricted to authorized persons, for example, in industrial environments, public spaces, or private properties. The key switch prevents unauthorized use, thus increasing both the safety and operational reliability of the installation.

The key switch has three clearly defined positions (1–0–2), allowing users to easily switch between opening, stopping, and closing, depending on the application. A significant practical advantage is that the key can be pulled out in any position. This offers maximum flexibility in use and allows the installation to be locked in a specific position without having to keep the key present. Two keys, engraved 607, are supplied as standard with your order, ensuring a spare key is always available.

This splashproof key switch is fully compatible with all Niko Hydro flush-mounted and surface-mounted boxes. This makes it easy to integrate into both new installations and renovation projects. Uniform compatibility within the Niko Hydro range simplifies design and installation and guarantees a consistent finish, regardless of the chosen mounting method. Designed as a single mechanism, the switch fits perfectly into the corresponding mounting solutions.

The entire unit is splashproof when combined with a suitable Hydro mounting box, achieving an IP55 protection rating. The cover of the key switch is equipped with an injection-moulded seal that seals hermetically to the suitable box. This integrated seal ensures a reliable seal without additional installation steps and contributes to the product’s long lifespan. The black finish gives the switch a discreet and professional appearance, while it is also available in white and gray to meet various aesthetic and functional requirements.

Electrically, the key switch is designed for a rated current of 10 A and features screw terminals for secure and reliable wiring connections. The maximum rating of the circuit breaker is 16 A, subject to compliance with national regulations for electrical installations. This makes the switch suitable for a wide range of applications within applicable standards.
